The lazy days of summer begin with a burst of color as the 4th of July festivities culminate with a spectacular fireworks display on the beach. Beach combing, a perennial favorite with both adults and children, could reveal a gift from the sea. Hike the wonderful trails in and around the area, or go crabbing, clamming or fishing.
