Port of Tillamook Bay elk

As you’re cruising down Hwy 101 just south of Tillamook, it’s not uncommon to look over and see a majestic herd of elk enjoying the fields at the Port of Tillamook Bay. They usually stay far off the highway, and the best way to enjoy them is through the lens of binoculars or a telephoto camera lens. The size of the herd can range from a handful to a few hundred.
