Cape Meares National Wildlife Refuge

Whale watching, a sacred octopus tree, and Oregon’s shortest lighthouse can all be enjoyed at Cape Meares Scenic Viewpoint. With numerous trails throughout the park to explore, the Cape Meares State Scenic Viewpoint has much to offer. Hikers of all skill levels will enjoy the breathtaking views and multiple historical sites located within the park, such as the Cape Meares Lighthouse, the Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge, and the Octopus Tree.

Two fully accessible wildlife viewing decks provide visitors with an overview where visitors are able to see three National Wildlife Refuges and two National Wilderness areas from a single spot.
