An imaginary friend finds out his sole purpose is to bring happiness to his child\, only to discover his child is a 90 year old man (Skerritt) on his death bed \n– The hilarious documentary OH WHALE by award winning Portland-based director and cinematographer Winslow Crane-Murdoch. When news anchor Paul Linnman arrived in Florence\, Oregon on November 12th\, 1970\, he had no idea that the story he was about to tell would forever define his career. Following a small Oregon town\, an exploding whale\, and the man who made the story famous\, Oh Whale is about how we don’t get to choose our fate\, only what we make of it. \nAbout the Manzanita Film Festival \nThe Manzanita Film Festival is dedicated to celebrating the rich cinematic heritage of the Pacific Northwest region. DESCRIPTION:We need to re grade the gravel on the Wheeler Demonstration Trail! We need about 10 volunteers to help shovel and rake gravel so it is graded to ADA standards. \nWe will meet behind the railroad tracks on Marine Dr and Hemlock St (west side of Hwy 101) in Wheeler at 10AM. Bring a snack and water for yourself\, we will get lunch from the NeahKahNie Smoke House or Handy Creek bakery in Wheeler when we wrap up at 1PM. \nWe will have some tools\, but if you have your own rake\, shovel\, and work gloves\, bring them along! If you are coming from the Portland Metro area\, let us know if you need to carpool with someone and will help arrange a ride!

When news anchor Paul Linnman arrived in Florence\, Oregon on November 12th\, 1970\, he had no idea that the story he was about to tell would forever define his career. President Abraham Lincoln (played by Daniel Day-Lewis) races against time to pass the 13th Amendment through the House of Representatives.\n\nPrior to the film showing\, guests are invited to arrive early for a meet-and-greet and photos with “Honest Babe Lincoln\,” a remarkably good look-alike of Abraham Lincoln.\n\nTCPM will have Abraham Lincoln themed books and stickers for sale\, and the theater’s concessions will be open.\n\nMovie admission is free\, though donations are always appreciated.\n\nDoors open at 5 pm.

We will get a first hand picture of the major challenges this trail presents itself while enjoying the wildlife of spring! \nWhat to wear and bring: Please dress for the weather (rain jacket) and wear hiking boots (it might be slick in some spots so rain boots are not recommended).
