Cape Falcon Whale Hike

Join Friends of Cape Falcon Marine Reserve and the American Cetacean Society for a hike along the Cape Falcon Trail in Oswald West State Park, located between Manzanita and Cannon Beach. Enjoy stunning views of Cape Falcon Marine Reserve while learning about the Oregon Coast Gray Whale migration and the importance of marine reserves to healthy marine mammal populations. 

This FREE guided hike is part of the Explore Nature series of hikes, walks, paddles and outdoor adventures. Hosted by a consortium of volunteer community and non-profit organizations, these meaningful nature-based experiences highlight the unique beauty of Tillamook County and the work being done to preserve and conserve the area’s natural resources and natural resource-based economy.

Event Information: This event is FREE and open to the public. There are bathrooms at the starting point of this hike. Please bring water and snacks/lunch. Weather on the Oregon Coast is unpredictable and trails can be slick and muddy. Please be prepared and bring appropriate gear and clothing. Expect to spend 3 hours on the trail.
